Donations & Future Bequests

We do not receive any government funding, so rely on grants, subscriptions and donations to provide support for people with hearing loss.

All donations are gratefully received - you can donate in person, by post or by direct deposit online - Westpac Napier Account No: 03 0698 097071 00.

You may also wish to consider leaving us a bequest in your will. This legacy will ensure support is available to those with hearing loss for future generations.

How You can Help

Your time is valuable! Use your skills and contacts, meet new people and support the work of the Hearing Centre. If you can help in any of the following ways (or you have something unique to offer) we would love to hear from you - contact us here.

  • Selling occasional raffle tickets
  • Delivering our newsletter in your neighbourhood
  • Driving a neighbour to one of our events
  • Collecting at our annual Street Appeal - just two hours can make a difference

Recycle & Reuse

  • Used hearing aid batteries need to be disposed of carefully as they can, over time, release harmful chemicals into the environment. We are your local recycling depot - drop them in to the Hearing Centre during open hours. We can even provide you with a container to collect old batteries in.
  • Do you have old hearing aids sitting in the bottom of a drawer? We support MEND, a community organisation which re-conditions old hearing aids for people living in disadvantaged communities. Bring your old aids into the Hearing Centre and make a difference!
